History
On May 17, 1973, a group from the then established code enforcement agencies across the state (City of Frankfort, Jefferson County, Bowling Green, Ashland, Newport, Paducah, State Fire Marshal’s office, Louisville, Owensboro and HUD) made up a steering committee for the formation of a Kentucky Codes Enforcement Association. The first meeting of the Code Administrators Association of Kentucky was held on June 27, 1973. The first order of business was the election of interim officers until the first annual meeting that fall. Mr. Vanderwier was elected President, Mr. Paul Moore (Paducah) Vice-President and Mr. Connie Curls (City of Frankfort) Secretary Treasurer.
