CAAK is pleased to announce a Winter One Day residential training session beginning March 23rd and ending March 25th. Below are the class descriptions from ICC for both morning and afternoon portions of the class. The classes will be combined for a single one day class that will provide 6 CEU hours. This will be a virtual class. The same class will be offered on three consecutive days. The same instructor is scheduled for all classes. This will promote consistency regardless of the class date.
2009 IECC Fundamentals – Residential Provisions
3 hour
This seminar provides an overview of critical concepts of the 2009 International Energy Conservation Code® (IECC®). These concepts provide a basis for the correct use of the code in the design, plan review, inspection and analysis of projects. It will provide a clear understanding and correct use of the requirements identified by these basic code provisions, tables and categorizations. You will have the opportunity to apply the code in clear-cut situations and build your understanding of the intent of the code when asked to make code compliance decisions.
2009 IECC Residential Inspection Highlights
3 hour
This course provides an overview of the sealing requirements of the building thermal envelope for residential construction. The course is intended to help the building inspector, to identify the most important and problematic areas to inspect on the site to ensure compliance with the IECC. This half-day version (3 contact hours) of the course does not address the fundamental concepts of the IECC but rather an in depth examination of sealing and insulation inspection from the full 2 day seminar called 2009 IECC Performing Residential Energy Inspections.
